Office Newletters - September 2007
Pinero and his team hope everyone has had a wonderful summer. As Fall approaches remember to schedule your dental visits before the end of the year do you don’t lose your remaining insurance benefits.
Congratulations to Dr. Pinero. He has just been granted privileges to practice in the state of Idaho. He now has the ability to practice in 3 states: Wisconsin, Illinois and Idaho. Don’t worry he isn’t going anywhere. He is just leaving options open for retirement. He has also published another article in Dentistry Today on Zirconium restorations. This is a new all porcelain crown or bridge material we are using here in the office.
Denise has rejoined our team after a year sabbatical. We are glad to have her back.
Tina is newly engaged. We wish you the best and tons of happiness.
Angela has been busy with her family. Hana just turned one year old this month.

Did you know there are specifics foods that strengthen and naturally whiten your teeth and kill toxic bacteria in your mouth?
Yogurt, cheese, and milk are great sources of calcium. They help strengthen the bone around your teeth. These foods form temporary coatings on your teeth. Calcium in the coating deflects natural acids in your mouth to prevent decay.
Grapefruit aids in wound healing and has shown to decrease gum bleeding. It also helps prevent the gums from breaking down and loosening around your teeth. Be careful as the acids in grapefruit can weaken the enamel of teeth.
Kiwis, oranges, limes, cranberries, strawberries are rich in vitamin C which is a powerful killer of oral bacteria. Green tea has catechins that kill oral bacteria. Spicy foods such as wasabi have phytochemicals that inhibit the growth of germs.
Some herbs freshen your breath. These are mint and parsley.
Cauliflower, spinach, lettuce, and broccoli are all sources of minerals that create a protective film on teeth and help prevent red wine, cola or coffee stains. Strawberries have bleaching elements to brighten your smile. Carrots, nuts, and seeds help slough off plaque. Chewing raw veggies stimulates saliva to neutralize acids and strengthen teeth.
