About General & Restorative Dentistry

We are a state of the art dental practice, which offers advanced technology such as lasers, intraoral cameras and air abrasion. Dr. Pinero and his staff have been working as a team for over 10 years and strive to meet if not exceed your expectations.

We have the Casey System in the reception area as well as in all of our treatment rooms.  This terrific patient education system is used to show patients what Dr. Pinero or his staff is recommending in a simple easy to understand manner.

panaromic film
We are able to take all of our dental x-rays here in the office so there is no need to make referrals to other offices or a hospital. We can take panoramic films showing the entire mouth on one picture, TMJ films to see the joint and skeletal films.

The televisions in all the treatment rooms are also used with our intraoral cameras.  This is a way for the patient to become a part of the treatment plan process.  You are able to see exactly what Dr. Pinero sees by magnifying your teeth by 36x.

The magnification helps us to see fractures and cavities in the teeth before they become more advanced.  The T.V. monitors are also used during your treatment to show movies to help the time pass quickly.

We use several different types of technology in our office
to help make your appointments more comfortable.

  1. Air Abrasion- a no anesthetic way to remove decay from a tooth using a “sand blasting” technique.
  2. A cavity-detecting laser called a Diagnodent.  The small tip is placed on the tooth and a digital readout is given telling us the severity of the decay.  This takes the place of the uncomfortable poking we used to do to find cavities.
  3. We also use lasers to treat gum disease. Instead of the traditional surgery which takes a week or two to heal we are able to remove the diseased tissue in one quick appointment with no stitches and only a day or two healing time.  Many patients seek out Dr. Pinero specifically for this procedure.
